Cristina Monteiro is an architect, filmmaker, and the founding co-director of DK-CM, a firm focused on creating spatial and social change in the public realm. A Mayor’s Design Advocate for London, she specializes in adaptive reuse and retrofitting existing buildings. She is a graduate of the Architectural Association.
Outside of her architectural practice, Cristina is an author and director. She created the documentary "London Grows" as part of her "Wild City" campaign to promote urban biodiversity. She also writes a column for The Architects Journal, is working on a book of short stories, and tends an allotment in Sussex.
