Dave Reichert is a retired public servant whose career includes serving as a U. S. Congressman for Washington on the influential Ways and Means Committee and as the twice-elected Sheriff of King County. His work in Congress focused on trade and human resources. He earned an Associate of Arts from Concordia Lutheran College.
Outside of his political and law enforcement career, Reichert is a veteran of the U. S. Air Force Reserve. He is married to his wife, Julie, and they have three grown children and six grandchildren. He is also the author of a book detailing his most famous case.
As a detective, he led the Green River Task Force, a two-decade-long investigation that successfully captured one of Americas most prolific serial killers.
