Edwin Van Andel

Edwin van Andel is the CTO of Zerocopter, a company he helps lead with experience from his own security consultancy, Yafsec. A hacker since age 13, he has deep expertise in network security and infrastructure. People who have worked with him describe him as a great consultant and an excellent trouble-shooter.

His relationship with the hacker community is the main driving force in his life. He co-founded the “Guild of Grumpy Old Hackers” to actively guide and mentor young hackers. He enjoys visiting thrift stores to find vintage hardware, like old floppy drives, to tinker with and hack.

Unique fact: Edwin began hacking computers at the age of 13 after getting a book on assembly language from a library to fix a game.
