Emily Parker

As Chief Commercial Officer at Illumina, Susan Tousi leads global commercial operations, drawing on over 25 years of R&D and executive leadership experience. With a PhD from UC Santa Barbara and an MS from Stanford, she has been instrumental in developing next-generation sequencing products that advance human health.

Susan is deeply committed to mentorship and fostering the next generation of innovators in engineering and technology. She actively serves on the advisory board for the UCSB College of Engineering and frequently speaks on the importance of building diverse teams and leading with empathy to drive meaningful change.

She is a prolific inventor, holding over 20 U. S. patents in fields including digital imaging, diagnostic testing, and DNA sequencing technology.
