As Director of Estates and Campus Services at Swansea University, Greg Ducie is an experienced urban planner focused on the built environment. His expertise spans from planning policy to physical infrastructure development and estate management. He holds a Doctor of Philosophy and an MCom (cum laude) from Nelson Mandela University.
Gregs interests include urban and rural sustainability, infrastructure planning, and community innovation and participation in community-based planning. His academic work has focused on the financial viability of sustainable infrastructure, publishing research on the topic and even spending time at the University of Surrey’s Centre of Environmental Strategy.
He has mentored for a United Nations Capital Development Fund (UNCDF) program on municipal financing in South Africa, applying his expertise in an international development context.
