Handong Zhao

Handong Zhao is a Senior Research Scientist at Adobe focusing on machine learning, multimedia content analysis, and marketing analytics. He earned his PhD from Northeastern University and is an active contributor to the academic community, frequently serving on program committees for major AI conferences.

Originally from Tianjin, China, Handong has lived in major US tech and academic hubs, including Boston and his current home in San Jose, California. This experience gives him a broad perspective on different regional innovation ecosystems.

He was a recipient of the National Science Foundations prestigious I-Corps award, which supports the translation of academic research into entrepreneurial ventures.
