Hugh Nelson

Hugh Nelson serves as the Bishop of Worcester and the Bishop to the Armed Forces. Educated at Worcester College, Oxford, he provides pastoral leadership to the diocese and spiritual support to Anglican military chaplains. He previously served as the Bishop of St Germans in the Diocese of Truro.

Outside of his official duties, Hugh is married with four adult children. He enjoys spending his personal time walking, reading, and being with his family. He has a demonstrated interest in humanitarian causes, including the work of organizations like ShelterBox.

Before his episcopal roles, he was a parish priest, highlighting his long-term dedication to local community ministry.
