A graduate of California State University San Marcos, he joined Fortress in 2002, playing a key role in its credit business and chairing the firms ESG Committee.
As the son of a U.S. Marine Corps veteran, he was a passionate advocate for military-affiliated students. He coached youth sports, enjoyed snowboarding and cooking, and managed his familys investment office, J Squared Holdings. He also served on the boards of companies like Majestic Wine.
He attended the United States Air Force Academy and was a dedicated supporter of veterans causes throughout his life.
