Steve Stuart is a Managing Director at Ares Management, where he helps grow the firms commercial real estate debt business. He is an alumnus of Columbia University and began his career at Goldman Sachs.
Outside of his career in finance, Steve is actively involved in philanthropy. He serves on the board of "Answer the Call," a benefit fund for the families of fallen New York police and firefighters, and is also involved with Youth INC. He lives in Rye, NY, with his wife and three children.
He was a key figure in Fortresss legendary $1.2 billion high-risk loan to developer Harry Macklowe in 2007.
