Kate Perrie, P.Eng.

Kate Perrie is a Director of Engineering at Maple Leaf Foods, where she has been for nearly 15 years. A P. Eng. and Queens University graduate, she helps execute major capital projects, with budgets ranging up to $800 million, and is focused on setting the standards for how these projects are launched and managed.

She is a passionate advocate for increasing female leadership in traditionally male-dominated industries like engineering and meat production. When she joined her team, she was one of only two female engineers and hopes her work helps make women in technical leadership roles completely unremarkable for future generations.

Unique fact: Kate has managed a diverse portfolio of capital projects, including for the companys plant-based subsidiary, Greenleaf Foods.
