M.A. Venkataramanan
M. A. Venkataramanan is the Executive Vice Provost for Finance, Budget, and Strategy at Indiana University Bloomington, where he has been a faculty member since 1987. Also a Professor at the Kelley School of Business, his expertise lies in decision support systems and optimization techniques. He earned his Ph. D. from Texas A&M University.
Outside of his executive duties, he is highly regarded as an educator. Former students describe him as one of their best teachers, highlighting his incredible knowledge, approachable nature, and the great rapport he builds with them. People often call him approachable, affable, and innovative.
In 2023, he received the Presidents Medal for Excellence, the highest honor an Indiana University president can bestow.
