Marc Embler

Marc Embler is the Associate Vice President for Academic Affairs at Charleston Southern University, leveraging over 25 years of experience. His unique background includes over 20 years in law enforcement and nearly a decade as a therapist, which informs his leadership in online programs, technology, and grants. He is an alumnus of Charleston Southern University.

Outside of his university roles, Marc is a dedicated family man who enjoys spending time with his wife, children, and grandchildren. A lifelong competitive runner, he has previously coached cross country and track at the university. He is also actively involved in community service, serving on the board of a foundation that supports at-risk populations.

Unique fact: Before his extensive career in higher education, he spent over two decades working in law enforcement.
