Marlene Hoeber is the Director of Equipment Engineering at Twelve, where she leads the development of tools for carbon transformation. She has a background in designing and building laboratory equipment and holds a BA from Bard College. Her work focuses on applying engineering resources directly to research to accelerate innovation.
Outside of her engineering work, Marlene is a long-time queer, feminist, and sex-positive activist. She has served as Board President for the Center for Sex and Culture in San Francisco. Her personal interests include writing, photography, and community organizing, and she is also a mother.
