Meg Hughes is the Director of Nutrition and Sustainability at Compass Groups education sector, Chartwells. A Registered Nutritionist with degrees from Sheffield Hallam University, she has dedicated her career since 2012 to improving the nutrition, allergen safety, and sustainability of food for young people across more than 2, 000 schools.
Driven by a passion for creating positive change, Meg is a huge advocate for sourcing British produce to support UK farmers and reduce food miles. She actively engages with youth-led movements and student feedback to ensure the health and wellbeing agenda is shaped by the children it serves.
She is leading a cross-sector working group to develop a standardized approach for managing food allergies in schools.
