Michiel Lochtenberg is a Social Work lecturer at the Amsterdam University of Applied Sciences. He focuses on curriculum development, particularly integrating human rights education. His previous work involved developing and researching self-management practices for formerly unhoused individuals, giving him unique ground-level expertise in social empowerment.
Outside of his academic role, Michiel is deeply engaged in social justice and activism. He actively participates in community events related to colonial history, such as Keti Koti, and publicly supports political movements aimed at combating systemic inequality, racism, and sexism.
