Najma Sultana

Najma Sultana is the first Chief Information and Security Officer at global payments company Veem, where she built the IT and cybersecurity functions from the ground up. An engineering graduate from Pondicherry University, her expertise includes risk management and digital transformation, with prior leadership roles at Air Canada and Hydro Ottawa.

Originally from India, Najma now lives in Ottawa, Canada. She is a mother to three active young children and sometimes joins them in activities like soccer, badminton, karate, and skiing. She values Canada for the respect and safety she feels as a woman and a person of faith.

She was hired to establish Veems first-ever formal IT and security practice where none existed before.
