Rod Kleiss is the President of Kleiss Gears, Inc. , a company he founded to advance the science of polymer gearing. With a masters degree in Mechanical Engineering from Michigan Technological University, he has built a career moving from precision mechanics at HP and Ball Aerospace to becoming a leading expert in high-performance molded plastic gears.
Outside of engineering, Rod has a passion for the performing arts and aviation. He is a licensed pilot and also spent a year studying acting in New York City. He and his wife have supported local environmental causes, such as the Wild Rivers Conservancy.
