Rohan is an agricultural and food system economist with expertise in designing future-ready public policy. He has held leadership roles at ABARES and CSIRO, where he directed the Food System Horizons initiative. He holds a PhD from The University of Queensland.
His work reflects a deep passion for creating more sustainable, nutritious, and equitable food systems for Australia. He is a strong advocate for embracing new ways of thinking to solve complex, cross-sectoral challenges facing the nation, including climate change and environmental care.
He is currently on an extended leave from government, actively seeking a new leadership role in a think tank or capacity-building program starting May 2026.
