Roland Busch

Remco Steenbergen is the Group Chief Financial Officer of Sandoz, a role he began in mid-2024. He previously served as the CFO for Deutsche Lufthansa, where he was instrumental in the airlines financial stabilization post-pandemic. His extensive international career includes senior finance roles at Barry Callebaut, Philips, and KPMG.

His career has been distinctly global, holding executive positions in the Netherlands, Switzerland, Belgium, Ireland, Taiwan, and the United States. This reflects a deep understanding of diverse business environments and financial markets. He holds an MBA from the Institute for Management Development (IMD) in Lausanne, Switzerland.

He successfully guided Lufthansas financial recovery after the COVID-19 crisis, which included repaying government stabilization funds ahead of schedule.
