With over 23 years of experience, he has significantly expanded the STEM Industry School Partnership program, creating over 26, 000 learning opportunities by forging deep connections between schools and industry partners.
His passion for creating opportunities extends beyond the traditional classroom. Drawing on his background in sports science and outdoor education, Russ champions hands-on, experiential learning to make STEM accessible and engaging for all students, particularly those from underrepresented backgrounds. His mantra is "you can be what you can see. "
Before his distinguished career in education, Russ worked as an electrician, installing and repairing lifts and escalators.
