Shari Doi-Hatcher

Shari Doi-Hatcher serves as the Director of Patient Access for the Los Angeles County Department of Health Services. Her career is dedicated to improving healthcare accessibility, underpinned by a strong background in policy and research with organizations like SEIU. She holds a Bachelor of Arts from UC San Diego.

A key driver of health equity, Shari focuses on creating policies and programs for underserved communities. Her work involves direct community partnerships and managing large-scale public health initiatives, such as expanding COVID-19 testing and charity care eligibility for low-income residents.

She directed the successful transition of over 300, 000 members from the Healthy Way LA program to Medi-Cal as part of healthcare reform.
