Shelley Carnes is the co-founder and Executive Director of The Hirsch Academy, a school for neurodivergent students now in its 20th year. With a Masters in Occupational Therapy, she is an Expert DIR Floortime Provider and a certified trainer for the I-ASC program, focusing on neurodiversity-affirming practices.
Outside of her professional life, Shelley is a mother of two who enjoys traveling, dancing, and exploring the outdoors. She is also an avid rock climber and enjoys playing the piano whenever she gets a chance.
She is a passionate supporter and ally of the Autistic Self Advocacy Network (ASAN) Atlanta Chapter.
