Shyam C Raman

Shyam C Raman is the President and Chief Human Resources Officer at Carborundum Universal Ltd (CUMI). A seasoned professional within the Murugappa Group, he previously headed the groups entire HR function. His academic credentials include a BE from PSG College of Technology and a PGDBM from the Indian Institute of Management, Calcutta.

He is passionate about cultivating future leaders and actively engages in development programs. Shyam emphasizes the importance of adopting a continuous learning mindset, including the ability to unlearn and relearn, to navigate the nuanced challenges of leadership in a complex and volatile business world.

In addition to his primary role, Shyam serves as a Director on the board of Chola MS Risk Services, another Murugappa Group company.
