Sony Perron is the President of Canada Economic Development for Quebec Regions, concurrently serving as the Deputy Minister of Economic Development. His extensive public service career includes leading Shared Services Canada and Indigenous Services Canada. He holds a Masters in Public Administration and a Bachelors in Urban Planning.
Outside of his official duties, Sony is married and the father of three children. He has demonstrated a commitment to community by serving as the National Chair for the Government of Canadas Workplace Charitable Campaign.
He acts as the Deputy Minister Champion for several universities, including Concordia University and HEC Montréal, helping them navigate the federal government.
