Stephen McGlenn is a director specializing in Indigenous lands governance, planning, and natural resources. With a Masters in Indigenous Community Planning from UBC, he advises First Nations organizations through his firm, Elíya Consulting, and serves as the Director of Lands and Natural Resources Governance for the Leqá: mel First Nation.
Outside of his professional roles, Stephen is a passionate heavy metal musician. He is the co-producer and lead guitarist for the band Lekwépsem, a project he shares with his wife, Bonnie. He has been interested in music from a very young age and it remains a big part of his life.
His bands name, Lekwépsem, translates to "break your neck! " in the language of the Leqá: mel First Nation, his wifes home community.
