Steve Kelso

Steve Kelso is a communications expert and founder of Kelso Communications LLC. After a 30-year, Emmy-nominated career in TV news, he spent nine years as the Communications Manager for Kent Countys Health Department. He is a seasoned expert in crisis communications, public relations, and large-scale video production, notably leading efforts during the pandemic.

As a deeply connected member of the West Michigan community, Steve has demonstrated a passion for fostering journalistic talent. He has shared his extensive experience by speaking with and mentoring students at local journalism camps, drawing from his long career in the news media.

While at Kent County, he envisioned and built "Studio Kent, " producing over 550 videos that reached tens of millions of viewers globally.
