Tara Korti is a Development Researcher and Thematic Research Specialist at Christian Aid, focusing on social protection, gender-based violence, and decolonizing research. An alumna of the Tata Institute of Social Sciences with a Ph. D. in Social Work, she has over 15 years of experience in academia and the development sector.
Her work is driven by a deep commitment to social and epistemic justice, aiming to make development research more inclusive and equitable. She is passionate about shifting power dynamics in knowledge production, centering community voices and knowledges from the margins in her work across Asia, Africa, and Latin America.
She specializes in co-creation methodologies, which aim to decolonize research by centering community knowledge in development work.
