With a degree in Electrical Engineering from NIT Warangal, he has nearly four decades of experience leading major energy infrastructure projects. He is also the Chairman (2024-25) for the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) in Karnataka.
From a young age, Venu was curious about how gadgets worked, which inspired his engineering career. Outside of work, he is an avid golfer and applies lessons from the sport, such as patience and strategic thinking, to his professional life. He credits his mother and his current boss as key mentors in his life.
