An alumnus of Indias National Institute of Technology, he previously worked as a Software Development Engineer at Amazon, where he first identified the disconnect between resumes and actual coding ability.
Born and raised in India, Vivek co-founded HackerRank with his college friend Hari Karunanidhi, stemming from their shared passion for competitive programming. Their company was the first Indian startup to graduate from Y Combinator. He is passionate about leveling the playing field for developers and creating opportunities based on merit.
Vivek was named to the Forbes 30 Under 30 list for Enterprise Technology.
