Adriene Holder is the Chief Attorney of the Civil Practice at The Legal Aid Society, where she has spent her entire career. A graduate of Spelman College and Columbia Law School, she manages over 500 staff providing legal services to low-income New Yorkers across all five boroughs.
Adriene has dedicated her professional life to challenging poverty and racial injustice. She serves on several commissions and committees focused on access to justice and legal aid, and frequently testifies before legislative bodies on matters impacting low-income communities. In 2024, she was honored by the Martha Graham Dance Company for her pioneering spirit.
She was previously appointed as a Tenant Representative on the New York City Rent Guidelines Board.
