Arjun Jayadev

Arjun Jayadev serves as the Dean at Azim Premji University, where he is also a Professor of Economics. He holds a PhD from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst, and his expertise covers macroeconomics, global finance, and income inequality. He is also a Senior Economist at the Institute for New Economic Thinking.

Outside academia, Arjun is committed to making complex economic ideas accessible to the public. He actively engages in public discourse, as demonstrated by presenting his book at the "Pint of View" club in Bangalore. He also serves on the board of Oxfam India, showing a dedication to social and economic justice.

He recently co-authored the book "Against Money, " which offers a radical critique of capitalism and the role of money in society.
