Barney Burgess

Barney is the Vice President of Online at Asda, leveraging deep expertise from leading Tescos online grocery operations and advising retailers at McKinsey. A Partner at a private equity firm and a Cambridge and INSEAD graduate, he has a strong track record in consumer-centric strategy and driving growth.

Outside of work, Barney is the award-winning Chair for the Air Ambulance Charity Kent Surrey Sussex, a cause he is deeply connected to. A keen runner, his commitment began after the charity saved his life. He and his wife also support the arts as patrons of a classical orchestra.

In 2015, Barneys life was saved by the Air Ambulance service after he suffered a cardiac arrest during a half marathon. He now serves as the charitys Chair.
