Dr. Gabrielle Weasel Head is an Associate Professor of Indigenous Studies at Mount Royal University and a member of the Kainai Nation, Blackfoot Confederacy. Her research focuses on mobilizing Indigenous methodologies to elevate Indigenous ways of knowing in education, with expertise in community wellness, resilience, and decolonization, informed by her PhD from the University of Calgary.
Deeply committed to her community, Dr. Weasel Head serves as the President of the Aboriginal Friendship Centre of Calgarys Board of Directors. She is passionate about fostering inclusive communities through compassion and collective action, grounding her work in Blackfoot philosophy to support healing and cultural continuity.
