Eric Tschetter

He is an expert in no-downtime distributed systems and real-time analytics, with previous roles at Splunk and Yahoo. People who have worked with him describe him as an innovative data hacker. Eric holds degrees from The University of Tokyo and The University of Texas at Austin.
Outside of his primary work in infrastructure engineering, Eric has a unique background that includes three years of professional experience translating Japanese to English. He also has an interest in gaming, which inspired the name for his database project, Druid, based on the shapeshifting abilities of the game class.
He was a founding team member of Tidepool, a non-profit organization focused on diabetes data.
