George Weaver is the President and CEO of Central Georgia EMC, a position he has held since 2017. He is a director for both Georgia EMC and the National Rural Electric Cooperative Association (NRECA), representing Georgia nationally. He earned a Bachelor of Business Administration from Georgia College and State University.
He and his wife, Kathy, live in Butts County and have two sons. Weaver is actively engaged in the community, often representing Central Georgia EMC in local charitable initiatives and economic development projects, including the Operation Round Up program which supports local organizations.
He helps shape policy for electric cooperatives across the country through his director role at the NRECA.
