Dr. Hala Madanat is the Vice President for Research and Innovation at San Diego State University, where she is also a Distinguished Professor of Public Health. She is passionate about global health, with a specific focus on health issues in her home country of Jordan. Her research on the social and cultural determinants of health has covered cancer prevention, nutrition, and tobacco control. She also serves on the board of the American Cancer Society.
