Hanyin Wang is a physician-scientist at the Mayo Clinic Health System, serving as Co-Director of the AI Validation program and Associate CMIO. He is concurrently a Computer Science PhD student at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, focusing on developing and applying large language models to solve real-world clinical challenges, particularly in clinical note generation and reinforcement learning.

Inspired to pursue medicine by his mother, a general surgeon, he is passionate about demystifying the use of LLMs in healthcare and improving patient care by reducing administrative burdens. He is also actively exploring startup opportunities to translate his research into practical healthcare solutions, bridging the gap between advanced AI research and daily clinical practice.

Unique fact: In addition to his medical and computer science qualifications, Hanyin holds a Chinese Certified Public Accountant (CPA) Professional Stage Certificate.
