Heather Rosentrater is the President and CEO of Avista, where she has built her entire career since joining as a student engineer in 1996. A registered Professional Engineer with a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from Gonzaga University, she has held numerous leadership roles, driving innovation across the companys electric and natural gas businesses.
A Spokane native, Heather is deeply committed to her community, serving on the boards of the Avista Foundation, YWCA Spokane, and Second Harvest Inland Northwest. She is a fifth-generation Spokanite and enjoys helping her high school-aged daughter with math, finding joy in connecting theory with real-world applications.
She is the first female President and CEO in Avistas more than 130-year history.
