Joanne Doleman is the Head of Research Governance for Trusted Human Research at the Wellcome Sanger Institute. With a PhD from Imperial College London, she leads operations for the human materials team, specializing in regulatory matters, compliance audits, and study sponsorship. She is also the co-chair of the EMBL-Bioethical Internal Advisory Committee.
Outside of her scientific career, Joanne is a proud parent to a competitive Korfball player and is a passionate advocate for the sports inclusivity across all genders and age groups. She also enjoys her beautiful work campus and previously won an award for promoting a workplace fitness challenge, showing her commitment to colleague wellbeing.
She received the Geoff Evans Health & Safety and Wellbeing award, which was voted for by her colleagues.
