Martyn Snow is the Bishop of Leicester and a member of the House of Lords, where he focuses on issues related to poverty. His career includes serving as Bishop of Tewkesbury and Archdeacon of Sheffield. Educated at Sheffield University with a degree in Chemistry, he also served with the Church Mission Society in Guinea, West Africa.
Born in Indonesia to missionary parents, Martyn has a deep appreciation for different cultures. He is married to a paediatrician, and they have three children. His personal interests are diverse, including travel, sports, music, kayaking, and hillwalking. He particularly enjoys walking through Leicester to experience its cultural diversity.
When appointed Bishop of Tewkesbury in 2013, he was the youngest serving bishop in the Church of England.
