Melanie Kolp is the SVP, Chief Data Officer, and Chief Technology Officer at Nationwide, where she has worked since 2005. With over 25 years of experience, she leads enterprise architecture, data strategy, and technology innovation, including Generative AI. She holds a BBA in Management Information Systems from Ohio University.
Outside of work, Melanie is a champion for women in technology, having founded Nationwides Women in IT group and served as president of Columbus Women in Tech. She and her husband have three sons, and she actively shares family milestones, such as her oldest son attending James Madison University.
Melanies fascination with technology began around age 11, when she was already writing programs on a Commodore 64 computer.
