Rikesh K. Patel

Dr. Rikesh Patel is the Director of Robotic Surgery for Total Joints at University Hospitals. He is a fellowship-trained orthopedic surgeon specializing in hip and knee replacement, with a focus on robotic-assisted surgeries, minimally invasive techniques, and complex revisions. He earned his doctorate from Midwestern University and is passionate about improving patient lifestyles through advanced technology.

Originally from the Chicago area, Dr. Patel now considers Cleveland his home. Outside of work, he enjoys road biking, snowboarding, making homemade pizzas, and spending time with his family.

He has a unique background for a surgeon, with an undergraduate degree in Food Science and Human Nutrition, and was inspired to pursue orthopedics by his father, a mechanical engineer.
