A proud member of Treaty 6 and a descendant of the Plains Cree Nation from Maskwacis, Alberta, Ruby is deeply grounded in her cultural roots and traditional ceremonies. Her heritage, which traces back to the revered spiritual warrior Wandering Spirit and Chief Big Bear, profoundly shapes her worldview and leadership.
