Edward Hanlon

Edward Hanlon is a Commercial Development Lead at National Grid, focusing on European offshore projects. He holds first-class honors in both a Masters and a Bachelors degree in engineering from the University of Galway. His career includes roles in business development at Smart Wires and powertrain controls engineering at Aston Martin Lagonda.

Outside of work, Edward is an avid runner and mountaineer dedicated to fundraising. He is participating in the London Marathon to support the housing charity Shelter and taking on the Three Peaks Challenge for the Alzheimers Society. His marathon training has involved running over 650km.

He has a unique background transitioning from designing powertrain controls for luxury car brands like Aston Martin to developing offshore energy infrastructure.
