Hien Dang is an Assistant Professor at Thomas Jefferson University, where she also serves as Director of Surgical Research. Her lab focuses on the molecular mechanisms of liver and pancreatic cancer, utilizing RNA biology and genome editing. She earned her Ph. D. at Penn State University.
She is passionate about mentorship and career development, particularly for women in science. While at Penn State, she co-founded the Association for Women in Science chapter, organizing forums and securing grant funding to support its mission of empowering female scientists and trainees.
In 2023, she received the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network (PanCAN) Career Development Award.
