His career includes a 15-year tenure at Torvald Klaveness, where he was CEO for 11 years, and extensive management experience at DNV. He holds an MSc in Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering from the Norwegian University of Science and Technology.
He is a vocal advocate for sustainability and is known for his commitment to the decarbonization and digitalization of shipping. He has also actively worked to increase the number of women in the maritime sector. He is married with three children.
In 2023, he became the first man to receive the WISTA Norway Leadership Award for his commitment to promoting female talents and improving gender representation in the shipping industry.
